What to do with a thick pile of pinky nails

A thick pile of nails on the little finger of the foot is likely to be a case of thick nail syndrome. Thick nail syndrome may be formed over time by wearing shoes and squeezing them. For this condition, there is usually no need for any treatment as it is not particularly harmful or healthy for the body itself. If the thick nail is more pronounced, more serious, affecting the foot or forming localized squeezing pain, it needs to be treated actively. The nail is usually softened with topical creams, such as mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream or sodium heparin allantoin cream, or a 20% allantoin cream applied topically to seal the package and gradually eliminate the thick nail. Treatment can also be done by nail extraction.
