Finger tips with hard skin may be related to thickening of the stratum corneum, chronic eczema, limited scleroderma, fungal infections and other conditions.
1. Thickening of the stratum corneum: If the patient often uses musical instruments, or the tips of the fingers are often subjected to repeated friction, it will lead to local thickening of the stratum corneum.
2. Chronic eczema: Due to long-term inflammatory stimulation of the skin, the skin in the area will ooze fluid and crust, and so on, the skin will be thickened and hard skin will appear.
3. Restricted scleroderma: the patient’s skin may appear depressed, and atrophy, tightness, hardness, and may be accompanied by a feeling of stuffiness and swelling.
4. Fungal infection: If the fingertip is infected by fungus, it will lead to the destruction of the epidermal layer of the skin, which can make the skin thickened, yellowish and other changes, and may be accompanied by damage to the nails.
As the causes of the disease are many, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause, and be guided by the doctor to standardize the treatment.
