Monkeypox as a zoonosis, there are two ways of transmission: direct transmission between humans and animals and indirect transmission between humans. 1. Direct transmission: In the first transmission between humans and animals, humans can be infected with monkeypox virus through contact with the blood, body fluids or excreta of infected animals, or be bitten by animals with monkeypox virus in their bodies and become infected. 2. Indirect transmission: Monkeypox virus can also be transmitted during long-term, face-to-face contact between humans. It can be transmitted through respiratory excretions such as saliva, sputum, droplets, etc. It can also be transmitted through broken skin surfaces, excretions, body fluids, or virus-contaminated items such as clothes and bedding. Monkeypox virus can be transmitted from animal to human and from human to human through blood, body fluids, and droplets, so it is recommended to stay away from high-risk areas on a daily basis.
