Not many people get Kawasaki disease, the incidence of Kawasaki disease is about 0.051% in China. Kawasaki disease, also known as cutaneous mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome, is an autoimmune disease, a systemic vasculitis. In Japan, it is estimated to be between 1 and 2%, and in China, it is estimated to be around 51 per 100,000, with boys outnumbering girls by a ratio of 1.5:1. The clinical manifestations of Kawasaki disease are persistent high fever for more than 5 to 7 days, accompanied by skin rash, redness and swelling of the lips and mouth, chapped lips, prune tongue, conjunctivitis, enlarged lymph nodes, redness and swelling of the hands and feet, and membrane-like desquamation of the hands and feet during the recovery period, which may be accompanied by platelet elevation, dilatation of coronary arteries of the heart, and coronary aneurysms. If the patient is suspected of having Kawasaki disease, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital specialist for further diagnosis and treatment.
