A high pressure of 128 mmHg and a low pressure of 88 mmHg are high normal blood pressure values, not hypertension.
According to China’s current diagnostic standards, systolic blood pressure of 90 to 120 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure of 60 to 80 mm Hg are normal blood pressure values. 120 to 139 mm Hg and/or 80 to 89 mm Hg are high normal blood pressure values.
High normal blood pressure values are not considered high blood pressure, but are within the normal blood pressure range of high blood pressure. However, there is a higher risk of progression to hypertension in the future. It is recommended to monitor blood pressure changes regularly, improve lifestyle, and actively prevent hypertension. It is recommended to have a low-salt and low-fat diet, quit smoking and limit alcohol, increase exercise, and adjust the mindset.
