The number of days of hospitalization for gallbladder polyp surgery needs to be judged on a patient-by-patient basis and cannot be generalized. For gallbladder polyps, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is currently preferred clinically, which usually causes less damage to the patient and results in a faster postoperative recovery. Most patients can be discharged from the hospital 3-5 days after surgery if they are seen at a local primary care hospital. For some large medical centers, gallbladder polyps have become a day surgery program, where patients are admitted and operated on the same day, and can be discharged in stable condition after surgery, or early the next morning. However, if the patient’s underlying condition is poor and more serious complications are combined, the length of hospital stay may be extended. Patients are advised to take medications as prescribed by the doctor, eat a light diet, take regular rest and rest, review regularly, abstain from smoking and alcohol, and visit the hepatobiliary surgery department of the hospital in time if other discomforts arise.
