Is a lump at the Fengchi point cancerous?

Fengchi point is an acupoint at the connection between the cervical vertebrae and the back of the head. A lump in this area is not necessarily cancer, and the chance of cancer is very small. It is usually caused by the following conditions: firstly, the lymph nodes on the back side of the neck are enlarged and the lumps are rounded, oval or round, with clear borders, and they can move when pressed. Secondly, it may be a hard node caused by a sterile inflammation of the local muscles due to muscle strain of the cervical spine, in which case it is painful to press, and the lumps are irregular and have a physical sensation to the touch. It is related to the activity of cervical spine, and the pain will be aggravated when the cervical spine is strained and the head is lowered for a long period of time, and can be identified and diagnosed by examining the local ultrasound.
