Artificial insemination refers to artificial fertilization. Artificial insemination is a method of helping infertile couples conceive by using techniques such as microscopic manipulation of gametes and embryos outside of the body by artificial means. Artificial insemination includes artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization embryo transfer and so on.
1. Artificial insemination: It is a method of injecting sperm into the female reproductive tract through non-coital means and fertilization. It is suitable for infertile couples who have normally developed follicles, normal range of motile sperm count, sound structure of the female reproductive tract, and at least one patent fallopian tube.
2. In Vitro Fertilization Embryo Transfer (IVFET): This is a procedure in which an egg is removed from the woman’s ovary, fertilized with sperm outside of the body and cultured for 3-5 days, and then the developed embryo is transferred into the uterine cavity.
IVF embryo transfer is indicated for patients with infertility such as tubal infertility, unexplained infertility, endometriosis, male infertility, ovulation abnormalities or cervical factors.
The choice of artificial insemination requires a detailed consultation with a physician to choose the appropriate method of insemination for your specific health condition, so as not to affect your health.
