Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of AO clavicle hook plate in the treatment of Neer II clavicle fracture. Methods: From March 2000 to June 2007, 46 cases of Neer II clavicle fractures were treated with AO clavicle hook plate and rostral clavicle ligament repair technique and its efficacy was observed. Results: All cases were followed up for 6-12 months, 1 case of trauma infection, 1 case of loosening of the fixation screw, 1 case of failure to insert the hook under the acromion, and no delayed healing or plate fracture. There was no delayed healing or plate fracture. After removing the internal fixation from 3 months to 12 months postoperatively, the shoulder joint activity was normal in 39 cases, while 7 cases felt distension and pain at the acromion when the shoulder joint was actively moved and the activity was limited. Conclusion:AO clavicle hook plate is a good internal fixation method for treating Neer II fracture, and it is worth to be promoted because it has reliable fixation and can be used for early functional exercise with the rostral clavicular ligament repair technique.
