Rh-positive blood refers to a blood type. The blood type is Rh positive, which is more common; the Rh blood type is negative, which is very rare in clinical practice, so this blood type is called panda blood. In addition to Rh blood type, there are also ABO blood types, which are the two most commonly used in clinical practice. For Rh-positive, the antigen is present on the red blood cell membrane; if Rh-negative, the antigen is not present on the red blood cell membrane. Before a blood transfusion can be performed, the blood in question must be of the same blood type as the person who needs the transfusion, and only after that will a cross-match test be done and the transfusion be performed after it is found that there is no agglutination. Therefore, the Rh-positive blood is more important for the determination of the blood type for transfusion.
