What are the symptoms of traumatic ear infection?

Trachoma, the medical name for mumps, occurs mostly in children and adolescents and is a respiratory infection that is contagious. There is an incubation period of 8-30 days after infection, with an average of 18 days. Most of the symptoms during this period are asymptomatic, and the onset of the disease is characterized by fever, chills, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and general discomfort. Cheek pain will appear a few hours after the start of symptoms, and the cheek will gradually swell and become obvious to touch. The swelling of the parotid gland is a more characteristic manifestation, centered on the earlobe and developing in three parts: the front, the back and the bottom, shaped like a duck pear with indistinct edges. The swelling of the parotid gland causes local skin tension and shining, and stimulates the secretion of saliva when opening the mouth to eat, which can lead to an increase in pain.
