Do newborns cough?

The causes of coughing in newborns are due to normal physiological reactions, such as dry mouth, choking on milk, etc., but may also be due to upper respiratory tract infections, pneumonia and other pathological factors. 1. Normal physiological reaction: it may be due to dry mouth or dry weather, choking while eating milk and so on causing newborns to cough. (2) Pneumonia: it is a common disease in newborns, mainly caused by bacterial and viral infections, and clinically characterized by frequent coughing, dry cough, coughing up sputum, shortness of breath with fever and other symptoms. In addition, there are many other causes of cough in newborns, such as gastroesophageal reflux.
