The most feared foods for variant asthma are spicy and stimulating, greasy and high protein diets, which may cause airway spasms caused and aggravated by congestion, swelling, and constriction of the airway mucosa.
1. Spicy stimulating foods such as onion, ginger, garlic, chili, alcohol, very salty, very sweet and very cold foods; can stimulate airway spasm coughing causing airway hyperreactivity.
2. Greasy food such as fried food such as barbecue, fatty meat, animal liver, pistachio; can make the airway phlegm discharge difficulties aggravate airway spasm.
3. High-protein diets such as eggs, milk, sea cucumbers, etc.; easy to cause allergic reactions caused by airway constriction, edema, thereby aggravating tracheal spasm, hypoxia leading to aggravation of the disease.
Patients with atopic asthma are advised to seek timely medical attention. The diet should be light and easy to digest.
