How to correct thoracic spine deformation

Thoracic spine deformities, mostly seen in adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis, usually develop between the ages of 13 and 18 years. Most patients have idiopathic scoliosis due to improper sitting, or improper posture. In this case, it is recommended to improve the full-length frontal and lateral x-ray of the spine to understand the angle of scoliosis. In clinical practice, if the angle of scoliosis is less than 20 degrees, no special treatment is required. It is only necessary to advise the patient to correct the sitting posture and strengthen the functional exercise of the spine, such as pulling the high and low bar, lunge forward and other exercise methods can be corrected. If the x-ray indicates that the scoliosis angle is greater than 20 degrees but less than 40 degrees, it is recommended that such patients wear a thoracolumbosacral spinal brace for correction. If the lateral bending angle is greater than 40 degrees, it is recommended that this part of the patient, surgical treatment for correction.
