Difference between invasive and non-invasive breast cancer

Invasive breast cancer and non-invasive breast cancer have different malignant degree, different disease development and different prognosis. The location of infiltration of non-invasive and invasive cancers is based on the basement membrane as a criterion. Tumor cells that break through the basement membrane are called invasive breast cancer, while those that do not break through the basement membrane and are confined to the area above the basement membrane are called non-invasive breast cancer. 1. Different degree of malignancy: invasive breast cancer is more malignant than non-invasive breast cancer. 2. Differences in disease development: invasive breast cancer will develop with infiltration of surrounding cells and organs, and this type of disease tends to develop metastasis or proliferation in a shorter period of time, while non-invasive breast cancer develops slower and develops metastasis and proliferation in a slower period of time compared with the former. 3. Prognostic recovery is different: invasive breast cancer has a relatively high risk of recurrence in the prognosis, and the survival cycle of patients is often shorter than that of non-invasive breast cancer. It is recommended that breast cancer patients should choose regular hospitals for breast cancer treatment and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors.
