What are the benefits and effects of tablets of turmeric?

Turmeric is a traditional Chinese medicine, which is used to break blood circulation, move qi, and relieve menstrual pain. It is used for chest pain, chest paralysis, heart pain, dysmenorrhea, obstruction of menstruation, obstruction in the abdomen, rheumatism, shoulder and arm pain, and swelling and pain in falling and thumping.
Turmeric is the dried rhizome of the ginger plant. It is pungent, bitter and warm in nature. Attributed to the spleen and liver meridians.
It is used for chest paralysis and heart pain, i.e. angina pectoris in coronary heart disease, together with Allium sativum, Psidium guajava, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong and Gui Zhi. For chest and abdominal distension and pain, as seen in chronic gastritis, hepatitis and cholecystitis, it can be used together with neem seed and yujin. When used for enlarged liver and spleen, or other abdominal tumors, it may be used together with Radix Bupleurum Japonicum, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Salviae Miltiorrhizae and Radix Paeoniae Alba.
When used for dysmenorrhea, it may be used together with Angelica sinensis, peach kernel, safflower and chuanxiong. When used for rheumatic or rheumatoid arthritis, it may be used together with Angelica sinensis, Qiang Wu, Duchess of Qi, Radix et Rhizoma Alba, and Radix Paeoniae Alba.
The adverse effects of the drug are not clear, pregnant women are contraindicated, during the period of consumption, avoid eating cold food. Must be taken under the guidance of a doctor, do not blindly use the drug.
