DWI is a special sequence in MRI, its full name is diffusion weighted imaging, DWI is usually used for the diagnosis of tumor diseases, if the prostate MRI DWI signal is high, it suggests that the patient may suffer from malignant tumors or prostate diseases such as prostate soft tissue injuries and prostatitis. ADC refers to the apparent diffusion coefficient of magnetic resonance, which is usually used to evaluate the diffusion movement of water molecules in living bodies, and can be used to detect whether the patient suffers from prostate cancer or not, and a low ADC value suggests that there is a possibility of prostate cancer. Therefore, prostate MRI with high signal in DWI and slightly low signal in ADC map is likely to be prostate cancer. It is suggested that patients should be guided by doctors according to their medical history, clinical manifestations, and feasible puncture biopsy to diagnose the existence of prostate cancer if necessary.
