In movies and TV dramas there is often such a bridge, that is, the main character in the drama, due to an accidental fall or car accident caused by head trauma, and then there is amnesia, and later due to a similar episode replay, suddenly regained memory. So such a bridge, whether only in the film and television drama, in real life, and whether it exists? The reason is that when our head is hit by an external force, it causes a shock around the skull of our brain and can damage the fragile tissue of the brain, thus affecting our memory function. Sometimes this damage can also make us feel sleepy and have a headache for a few days, which can easily worsen memory loss. This memory loss, however, is usually only temporary and may be suddenly restored by some external stimulus such as a similar scene or substance. Therefore, we should not worry too much when we lose our memory due to head injury, and no medication is needed for such cases. Rather, we need to use support from our surrounding family members or previous photos, favorite music, or psychotherapy (hypnosis) to help us regain our memory. Most of the memory loss caused by head trauma can be recovered, but there are a small number of cases that may cause permanent memory loss. This is mostly due to the fact that after one head injury, it is not protected during the subsequent protection process, resulting in re-injury, in which case it is easy to cause permanent memory loss. When we have a head injury, because the neurons around it are very fragile, the protection work must not be careless, and we must not repair the damaged memory by another similar head injury, as in the movie and drama, which may lead to post-traumatic amnesia.
