High insulin means polycystic ovaries

High insulin and insulin resistance alone are not polycystic ovaries. It is only in the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome that hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance may be involved in the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome. In the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome, reference should be made to the presence or absence of sporadic ovulation, anovulation, clinical manifestations of hyperandrogenemia, and hyperandrogenemia, as well as to the presence or absence of one or both sides of the polycystic ovary as shown by ultrasound images. The diagnosis should also be made in conjunction with the ultrasound images that show whether there are changes in one or both of the polycystic ovaries. High insulin alone is not included in the diagnosis of polycystic ovaries.
