Circumcision dilation is painful, and doing it is indicated for infantile male patients, when it is done, mainly due to reasons such as adhesion of the foreskin. Foreskin expansion is only a temporary treatment to separate the foreskin from the glans. Because the children who undergo this operation are relatively young and are not suitable for local anesthesia, the separation can only be done bluntly with vascular forceps. This separation is painful and sometimes requires the cooperation of the parents to hold the child down in order to perform the circumcision. After the circumcision, erythromycin ointment should be applied to prevent the foreskin from re-adhering to the glans and to prevent inflammation and infection. In addition, the child should be instructed not to scratch the lower body to prevent inflammation and infection.
