As a specialist, I have experienced too many adventures, too many sorrows and joys in my 45 years of fighting breast cancer. But in the past few months, I was deeply shocked by the tragedy that happened to five patients in a row, which should not have happened in the first place.
Ms. Zhang, a senior executive in a foreign company, was dressed well with light make-up, and her age was nearly 40, and she was only in her early 30s, usually busy with work and taking care of her young daughter, leaving little time for herself. Recently, she felt something strange in her left breast and came to my clinic at the urging of her colleagues.
This is a pair of well-maintained middle-aged women’s breasts, with snow-white delicate skin, light dark red areolas and slightly erect nipples, with the hemispherical shape that Asian women admire, which is ideal for middle-aged women.
After thorough questioning, I began a careful light touch examination, starting with the healthy right side. The right breast gland was soft and elastic, and small flaky nodules could be palpated in all four quadrants of the breast, scattered, pushing, without pressure, and not associated with skin or deep tissue. I told the patient, based on years of clinical palpation experience, “You have had one child, not much breastfeeding, and a history of multiple miscarriages,” and the patient looked at me in surprise and nodded slightly. “The right side is a grade II moderate mastoproliferative disease that requires attention but will not be a major problem at this time,” I told her, and was rewarded with a comforting smile.
On further examination of the left breast, the clinical signs of most of the glands were similar to those of the opposite side, but a lamellar fusion of breast nodules in the outer upper quadrant was found, with higher than normal texture and density. After further questioning, she told me that the side of her breast had a history of redness, swelling and nodules during breastfeeding, which resolved after several anti-inflammatory treatments, but she had never been examined by a regular hospital breast specialist after she stopped breastfeeding, and had been taking royal jelly for many years in order to “maintain health”. I instinctively drew diagrams and made markings and codes in her medical record book, ready to proceed with further examination of this.
When I continued to examine her left armpit, I was stunned, I clearly touched a large pile of lymph nodes, more than a few fused together, shaped like five or six glued together piles of fava beans, the texture and activity had clearly suggested —– malignant tumor secondary to lymph node metastasis!
Examining the breast once again, my experience told me that the texture and feel of this piece of hypertrophic breast tissue did not support the possibility that it had reached advanced breast cancer with distant metastasis. After I repeatedly asked, Ms. Zhang told me that because of her love for beauty, she often took time off from her busy schedule to go to the beauty salon to have her face done, and under the compulsion of the “beautician”, in recent months, she also began to do breast massage.
The beautician told her that her breasts are “toxic” and need to be “detoxified” and the meridians are blocked and need to be “unblocked”. So began a so-called breast “massage”, “massage” and squeeze, began the endless “detoxification” and “unblocking “. The money spent aside, the repeated squeezing of the breast, the repeated pulling of the nipple, to bring Ms. Zhang is pain or enjoyment, even he himself can not say.
After each “detoxification” and “unblocking”, Ms. Zhang’s bilateral breasts have bouts of vague pain, which will only be relieved after a few days. The beautician asked her to go home and continue to use hot water bags to “cover”, only then the “toxins” can be discharged, every two weeks after Ms. Zhang came back to the beauty salon as requested, once again to receive “detoxification “I immediately arranged for her to have her mammary glands done.
I immediately arranged for her to have a breast ultrasound and radiography. The mammogram X-ray clearly showed the imaging changes of breast cancer, and the small foci of mud-like calcification that had just formed were faintly visible, which was enough to confirm the early stage of the lesion. However, her ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes were large fused shadows and distant metastasis was a foregone conclusion.
I had to consider that the early breast cancer lesion had been artificially squeezed and the cancer cells had metastasized along the lymphatic vessels and blood vessels.
Nowadays, the medical treatment of breast cancer is quite mature, and patients with early stage breast cancer can fully recover their healthy life after regular treatment. Early-stage breast cancer can be treated in one go with “radical breast cancer treatment and reconstruction”, with hidden surgical incisions, symmetrical bilateral breasts, and more beautiful than the original, but he did not have this opportunity anymore.
The surgery went on as scheduled, but the pathology of an otherwise early stage breast cancer revealed 19/21 metastases in the axillary lymph nodes. For her, she had to spend the rest of her limited life in constant chemotherapy, radiotherapy and supportive care.
Since then, there have been many similar cases in a row and I can’t help but cry out: Sisters, know how to protect yourself!
Is there “poison” in the breast? The breasts, on which the human race reproduces, have become a storehouse of “toxins”? More than one billion people in China are growing up drinking their mother’s toxic breast milk? Is there a scientific basis for the “blockage” of breast meridians? Do they need to be “unclogged” like sewers?
The improvement of material conditions at any time, people are more and more concerned about health, a variety of so-called “health care” activities under the pretext of health, true or false, lies wrapped in the garb of science.
Driven by various commercial interests, they join forces to deceive the people. Take a look at the advertisements and leaflets over the years, including radio and television, the proliferation of “health” programs under the banner of medicine, but how much of it is really scientific? When the Beijing Zhang Wuben is also by the TV station to fire red, a pound of mung beans to cure a hundred diseases, speculation to a high price of 100 yuan, and finally the government only dealt with Zhang Wuben, while the TV station to promote the complicity is at large, and so contributed to the spread of bad culture.
It’s not how clever the scammers are, it’s that the Chinese people are too kind and gullible. This also shows that our country’s scientific public health education work is too inadequate, too lacking, is the failure of the competent authorities, which should cause the government leaders to pay great attention, otherwise the consequences are endless.
Those beauty salons that make black money with their conscience should be severely punished.
