In recent years, the incidence of breast cancer is increasing year by year, and the age of incidence is becoming younger, many breast cancer patients have a stronger desire to preserve their breast shape. However, after finding out that they have breast cancer, they first have strong panic and use all kinds of connections to seek medical help. It is often difficult to choose between breast preservation or radical mastectomy, because of the different depths of understanding of breast cancer treatment specialties, doctors’ recommendations are not quite the same, and worse still, surgeons sometimes do not want to take too much responsibility and leave the choice to the patient. Does breast-conserving surgery affect patient survival? There has been a great deal of medical research to confirm that for the right patient, breast conservation can achieve the same results as a radical mastectomy, and that the quality of life for the patient will be substantially improved. The patient’s disabling psychology can be completely eliminated. It will not affect the patient’s social activities. I have had many patients who have achieved long-term healing after opting for breast-conserving surgery and have resumed fully normal social activities and family life with complete psychological recovery. So-called “radical surgery” is not always a cure, but breast-conserving surgery can also achieve a radical cure for breast cancer.
