KTP frequency doubling laser is 532 nm YAG laser, which is more easily absorbed by protein tissues than general YAG laser, with shallower tissue penetration, obvious vaporization effect on tissues, and less thermal damage to surrounding normal tissues. There are fewer complications and less pain during surgery, and the postoperative recovery is fast. Our years of clinical application suggest that the KTP/YAG 532 nm laser is the ideal light source for the treatment of light brown flat warts.
The treatment is performed with the hand-held scanner vertically aligned with the wart, and the wart is scanned vertically and evenly from the outside to the inside until the damage surface is grayish white. After treatment, a moist burn cream is applied locally, and the wound is left in an exposed form without bandages if possible. After the operation, local redness, mild edema or blisters appeared at that time or the next day, in addition to appropriate care, generally do not need special treatment, the number can be self-receding, before the nod off to avoid contact with water to prevent infection, do not scratch, let the scab fall off naturally, the trauma is generally healed within 1 to 2 weeks after surgery.
The KTP laser is currently the first choice for the treatment of light brown flat warts in our department, with a cure rate of more than 96% in clinical applications, and no obvious pigmentation or scarring.
