Lichen planus is an abnormal keratinization disease of the skin mucosa with chronic superficial inflammation.
The etiology is not clear, including traumatic factors, endocrine factors, immune factors, infectious factors, genetic factors and microcirculatory disorders.
Typical lesions: middle-aged women, mostly symmetrical from left to right, consisting of white or gray-white papules in reticular, annular, dendritic and plaque-like lesions, and the skin may appear as dark red polygonal flat papules with waxy shiny surface, slightly higher than the skin surface, with clear borders and no obvious boundaries of normal tissues, mostly on the extremities.
Lichen planus is a precancerous lesion.
Treatment: remove local causative factors, such as bad restorations, dental caries, sharp tooth tips and calculus; local application of adrenocorticosteroids (prednisolone, trenbolone, tretinoin) can be applied; in addition, conditioning can be done with Chinese medicine department.
