Is cephalexin an anti-inflammatory drug?

Strictly speaking, cephalosporin belongs to antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory drug is a verbal expression of the common people. In terms of clinical pharmacology, there are four generations of cephalosporins on the market, which are often referred to as first generation cephalosporins, second generation cephalosporins, third generation cephalosporins and fourth generation cephalosporins. First generation cephalosporins are mainly antibiotics for cocci, second generation cephalosporins are antibiotics for both cocci and bacilli, and third and fourth generation cephalosporins are antibiotics mainly for bacilli. First and second generation cephalosporins will have some effect on the kidney function of patients, so patients with no impairment in kidney function can consider applying first or second generation cephalosporins for anti-inflammatory treatment. If patients have renal function impairment and clinically need anti-inflammatory treatment, they need to choose third or fourth generation cephalosporins for anti-inflammatory treatment.
