What’s wrong with your child’s sleeping cough?

A child coughing in bed may be caused by environmental factors, upper respiratory tract infections, spasmodic laryngitis, cough variant asthma, etc.
1. Environmental factors: irritating gases indoors or cold air may cause children to cough in their sleep.
2. Upper respiratory tract infections: most of them are caused by viral or bacterial infections. A large amount of nasal mucous membrane secretion stimulates the throat and coughing occurs.
3. Spasmodic laryngitis: mostly occurs in children aged 2~6 years old, stimulated by the cold, causing laryngeal spasm, mostly in the previous night when sleeping.
4. Cough variant asthma: there is airway hyperresponsiveness, also for the night irritating dry cough, early morning symptoms also appear, most of them last for more than a month, the amount of sputum is relatively small.
Caused by the child sleep cough causes more, occasionally not a big problem, if the cough is severe or lasts a long time, take the child to the hospital in time for diagnosis and treatment.
