Liver parenchymal echogenicity in the form of lattice-like alterations

When the liver parenchyma echoes inhomogeneously with grid-like changes, the possible presence of schistosomal cirrhosis is considered. Schistosoma cirrhosis is due to the eggs in the liver to stimulate the proliferation of connective tissue, which leads to schistosomal liver fibrosis, the emergence of portal vein pressure is elevated, need to carry out liver hardness, liver function tests, etc., and if necessary, the examination of liver puncture to carry out further judgment. In the case of schistosomal cirrhosis, there are characteristic ultrasonographic manifestations, such as fibrous lattice-like images with rectangular fibrous structures, whereas other liver diseases usually do not have the above clinical manifestations. Liver biopsy can also reveal pseudonodules and fibrous tissue hyperplasia, and eggs can also be found. If schistosomal cirrhosis is suspected, it is recommended to consult a regular hospital and give systematic treatment in time.
