The prostate gland is located in the pelvis, between the bladder and the urogenital diaphragm, adjacent to the neck of the bladder on the upper end, adjacent to the urogenital diaphragm of the pelvic floor on the lower end, in front of the pubic symphysis, and behind the rectum. The prostate gland is one of the accessory glands of the male internal genitalia and is a male-specific organ. The prostate gland is shaped like a chestnut, with a wide upper end as the bottom, a thin lower end as the tip of the prostate, a prostate body between the bottom and the tip, and a shallow groove in the middle of the prostate body as the prostate groove. The prostate gland is located in the pelvic cavity, the upper end of the bladder neck, seminal vesicle glands, vas deferens adjacent to the potbelly, the lower end adjacent to the posterior urethra, the male urethra from the neck of the bladder, through the parenchyma of the prostate gland through the tip of the prostate. The prostate is adjacent to the pubic symphysis anteriorly and the rectal jugular abdomen posteriorly, so the prostatic groove can be palpated by transrectal rectal fingerprinting. Middle-aged and elderly men are susceptible to diseases such as BPH, and it is recommended that those with prostate abnormalities seek prompt medical attention and treatment.
