Is thickening of the foreskin caused by diabetes?

The thickening of the foreskin is usually not caused by diabetes, and may be a normal phenomenon, or it may be related to circumcision, lymphedema, foreskin ingrown and other pathological causes.
1. Normal phenomenon. The thickness of the foreskin has individual differences, and the superficial fascia under the foreskin becomes thicker during the development of some men, resulting in thickening of the foreskin, without any itching and other abnormal symptoms, without affecting the function, which is a normal phenomenon.
2. Pathological causes.
(1) Foreskin infection. When the foreskin is infected by bacteria, fungi and other pathogens, it can lead to increased exudation from the foreskin tissue, resulting in edema and thickening, leading to thickening of the foreskin, which may be accompanied by swelling, pain, itching and other abnormal symptoms.
(2) Lymphedema. When lymphoedema of the foreskin occurs, it can lead to localized edema and thickening of the foreskin, resulting in thickening of the foreskin, which may be accompanied by pain and other symptoms.
(3) Foreskin ingrown. When the foreskin is embedded, it can’t be reset in time, causing venous and lymphatic circulation obstacles, forming edema and leading to thickening of the foreskin.
When the thickening of the foreskin is accompanied by abnormal symptoms, you should consult a doctor in time and take active treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
