The process of suture removal includes exposing the wound, sterilizing, removing the suture and applying the dressing. 1. Expose the wound: Wash your hands and tear off the dressing to fully expose the wound, and observe whether the wound is red, swollen, oozing and so on. 2. Disinfection: Disinfect the skin before removing the stitches, use iodophor cotton ball to disinfect the skin 2~3 times starting from the stitched wound from the inside out, the disinfection scope includes 3~5cm around the incision, and take care not to leave white during the disinfection process. 3. Remove the suture: use tweezers to lift the thread of the suture with one hand, and use wire cutters with the other hand to close the skin, cut the newly exposed suture, and use tweezers to pull the thread out gently. 4. Apply dressing: After the sutures are removed, the skin is sterilized again, a sterile dressing is applied and the suture removal process is completed.
