How long do you need to stay in the hospital after getting a plate out of a broken thigh?

Plate removal after thigh fracture surgery, usually hospitalized for 3~4 days, admitted to the hospital for one day of examination, the next day of surgery, and basically can be discharged from the hospital after one day of postoperative observation. The postoperative incision can be removed after 12 days without infection or cracking.
Before the operation, X-ray of left femur should be performed to see whether the fracture line of the broken end is completely disappeared or not. Generally speaking, the plate can be removed in 8 months to 1 year after the plate internal fixation operation. However, it depends on the degree of healing of the fracture. Occasionally, the fracture ends are not connected to each other, which may require a second revision surgery to clean up the fracture ends and bone grafting.
After the plate is removed from the fracture, avoid heavy labor for three months, because it takes time for the nail path to heal after the plate is removed, so as to avoid re-fracture.
It is recommended to go to the hospital if you have any related problems, so as not to delay your condition.
