What are the benefits of umeboshi for the liver

Umei has the effects of tranquilizing roundworms, generating fluids, astringing the intestines, and astringing the lungs (collecting lung qi), and is mainly used for treating lung deficiency and prolonged coughing, etc. It is usually of no special benefit to the liver.
Umei is the dried, nearly ripe fruit of Plum in the Rosaceae family. It is flat in nature, sour and astringent in flavor, and is attributed to the liver meridian, the spleen meridian, the lung meridian, and the large intestine meridian. Umei is mainly used for the treatment of roundworms, vomiting and abdominal pain, deficiency heat and thirst, prolonged diarrhea and dysentery, lung deficiency and prolonged cough, and usually has no special benefits for the liver.
The adverse effects of taking umeboshi are not clear, and it is not recommended to take it if there is external superficial evil (evil on the surface of the muscle) or if there is internal solid heat and stagnation. It is recommended that patients who are unwell go to a regular hospital in time, and follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment.
