Is SARS a new coronavirus?

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses, and SARS is one of the many types of coronaviruses. The coronavirus family includes three genera, α, β, and γ. Among them, the SARS outbreak in 2003 and the novel coronavirus outbreak in 2020 are in the same genus β coronavirus of the coronaviridae family and belong to a parallel relationship. But SARS coronavirus is a SARS coronavirus, which is a virus specifically referring to acute respiratory syndrome, and it is not the same thing as the novel coronavirus.
