PTCA, also known as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, is a coronary stenting procedure. This procedure is usually done for patients with acute myocardial infarction, or chronic blockage with frequent angina symptoms. Before doing the surgery, it is necessary to improve the relevant auxiliary examinations, such as electrocardiogram, cardiac ultrasound, coronary CTA, especially coronary angiography and nuclear myocardial imaging, through which the degree of coronary lumen stenosis can be clarified. If the stenosis is less than 70%, it can be treated conservatively with medication; if it is greater than 70%, it needs to be treated with stent implantation surgery, and then it needs to be treated with PTCA surgery. After surgery, patients also need to take medication for a long time to prevent and take care of cardiovascular diseases through medication.
