  Novel coronavirus infection is a Class B infectious disease managed according to Class A infectious disease. The necessary preventive and control measures have been taken within the medical institution to protect themselves and it is safe to come to the blood purification room. Even during an epidemic period, blood purification rooms are usually not closed as long as there are no extreme circumstances. When treatment must be postponed, one should communicate with one’s primary care physician and pay attention to the following points: 1. strictly low salt diet and control water intake; 2. increase the proportion of vegetable oil and starch in the diet and reduce protein intake; 3. avoid foods with high potassium, purine and phosphorus content.
