The medial pain of lateral avulsion fracture of ankle is considered to be accompanied by medial ankle fracture, ankle dislocation, and inflammation. In lateral avulsion fracture of the ankle, the foot is usually in the state of inversion (inversion of the foot). In addition to pulling the lateral ligament of the ankle to cause the avulsion fracture, the talus can push against the medial side of the tibia to cause the fracture of the inner ankle, or cause the soft tissue injury on the side of the inner ankle, resulting in the medial side pain. Dislocation of the ankle joint can cause a ligamentous tear in the inner ankle in addition to an avulsion fracture of the outer ankle, resulting in localized pain with swelling. Local soft tissue injury after lateral avulsion fracture of the ankle, bruising and swelling, if local inflammation occurs, tissue exudate can flow into the medial side through the joint space, and inflammatory factors accumulate in the medial ankle, resulting in pain. External ankle fracture with medial pain of the foot is recommended to be actively consulted and treated under the guidance of physicians.
