Effects of forsythia tea

Forsythia tea is made from the Chinese medicine forsythia, which has the effect of dispersing wind-heat, clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxicity from the body), subduing swellings and dispersing lumps, and can help relieve seasonal colds (colds caused by seasonal viruses, which are contagious, i.e., influenza). Forsythia is slightly cold in nature, bitter in taste, and belongs to the small intestine, heart and lung meridians. It has the efficacy of dispersing wind-heat, clearing heat and removing toxins, subduing swellings and dispersing lumps, and can treat wind-heat external infection, the first signs of warm disease, warm heat entering the camp, carbuncle and swollen toxin, scrofula (mainly refers to the cervical lymph node nodule tuberculosis), feverish gonorrhea (burning and stabbing pain when urinating, accompanied by frequent urination, discomfort in the small abdominal tract), and astringent pain and other illnesses. Forsythia tea is mainly used for fever, thirst and sore throat caused by seasonal colds. This tea should not be used for those who have deficiency of spleen and stomach (spleen and stomach weakness and cold), or Qi deficiency and pus clearing. The efficacy of the tea substitute is limited and cannot be used as a substitute for medication in the treatment of diseases. If necessary, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for treatment under the guidance of a professional physician to identify the cause of the disease.
