Why is one of the kid’s gums swollen?

Swelling of a child’s gums is mainly caused by periodontal disease or apical periapical inflammation resulting in inflammation of the gum tissue.
Poor oral hygiene, food impaction or eruption of permanent teeth can cause gum tissue infection and inflammation, which can lead to bleeding and swelling of the gums; periodontal rinsing and medication is required to remove the inflammatory substances that cause the infection in order to quickly reduce inflammation and swelling.
Apical periodontitis can cause inflammatory substances to spread to the apical part of the gum tissue, resulting in the symptoms of gum abscess; the tooth must be root canal treatment to remove the infected and inflamed pulp tissue in the root canal in order to effectively reduce swelling.
Children with swollen gums are advised to consult a doctor in a timely manner for a clear diagnosis and targeted treatment to avoid delays in the condition.
