After the operation of comminuted heel fracture, it usually takes about 12 weeks to go down to the ground, and after active treatment and rehabilitation, patients with good recovery can do heavy work.
Due to the poor blood supply in the heel, it takes a long time for the fracture to heal after comminuted fracture, so it is not advisable to get off the ground too early to avoid affecting the healing of the fracture. If the patient recovers well, the fracture will usually heal in about 12 weeks and the patient can start to go down to the ground; if the fracture does not heal satisfactorily after 12 weeks, the patient may need a longer time to go down to the ground.
After comminuted heel fracture, if active and effective rehabilitation measures are taken in time, the patient can continue to do heavy work after the fracture is completely healed and the muscle strength, joint range of motion, lower limb stability and flexibility and other functions have recovered well; however, if the rehabilitation training is not done in time or even not done, the patient’s functional recovery is poor, and the patient’s ability to continue to do heavy work is unlikely to be possible.
It is recommended that patients after heel comminuted fracture surgery should seek medical treatment in time, and carry out scientific treatment and training under the guidance of professional doctors, so as to avoid missing the time and causing serious adverse consequences.
