What’s wrong with an ovary that you can’t see?

Invisibility of one ovary may be due to congenital causes, or it may be caused by shrinkage of the ovary or intraoperative removal of the ovary.
1. Congenital causes: some women may have congenital ovarian dysplasia or undeveloped ovaries, which may make one ovary invisible.
2. Ovarian atrophy and becoming smaller: mostly seen in women with premature ovarian failure or after menopause. As the reproductive system ages, the ovaries will gradually shrink and become smaller, so one ovary may become invisible.
3. Intraoperative resection: If one ovary is removed intraoperatively due to personal health reasons, one ovary may not be visible.
If you encounter any of the above problems, it is advisable to take into account your medical history and consult a medical professional.
