There is a difference between a cracked foreskin and an itchy foreskin. A cracked foreskin is a wound on the outside of the foreskin caused by different reasons, and an itchy foreskin is usually due to a localized infection. 1. Foreskin crack: is a variety of reasons lead to the foreskin at the wound. If the patient’s foreskin opening is small forcibly turned over resulting in a crack, or the foreskin, glans has inflammation, penile erection may also lead to foreskin cracks. 2. Itchy foreskin: mainly due to local infection. For example, when the foreskin is too long, no attention to personal hygiene, will lead to secretions or residues within the foreskin to form dirt, long time will be easy to cause bacterial infection, thus appearing the foreskin itching; or patients by herpes simplex virus infection leads to genital herpes, will also appear the feeling of itching foreskin. Cracked foreskin and itchiness are two different manifestations, and patients are advised to go to the hospital for timely treatment.
