In terms of efficacy and indications, Xiangsha Liujun Wan has the effect of harmonizing the stomach, benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, and is used for dyspepsia, deficiency of the spleen and stagnation of qi, loose stools, belching with little food (burping), and distension of the epigastrium (stomach and abdomen).
Ginseng Strengthening the Spleen Pill has the effect of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, stopping diarrhea and harmonizing the stomach, and is used for weak spleen and stomach resulting in stuffy and noisy epigastrium (stomach feeling similar to hunger, emptiness with burning), poor diet, abdominal pain and loose stools, weakness and tiredness, vomiting and nausea, and inappetence.
Xiangsha Liujun Pill is contraindicated in pregnant women, and the adverse reactions are unclear; the adverse reactions of Ginseng Strengthening the Spleen Pill are unclear, and should not be taken by patients with cold and fever.
