How to treat high urinary microalbumin

High urine microalbumin can be divided into physiological and pathological. Physiological microalbumin will usually return to normal after removing relevant factors; pathological microalbumin includes hypertension, diabetic nephropathy, etc. Different treatment programs should be chosen according to different causes.
1. Physiological: Urine microalbumin may be elevated during strenuous exercise, fever, or consumption of large amount of high protein food, and will usually return to normal after removing related factors.
2. Pathologic: including hypertensive renal damage and diabetic nephropathy, etc. Hypertension can lead to glomerulosclerosis. Hypertension can lead to glomerulosclerosis, the treatment is based on actively lowering blood pressure and avoiding renal function damage, such as prevention and treatment of colds and diarrhea.
Diabetic nephropathy is one of the most common microvascular complications of diabetes mellitus, treatment should be timely control of blood glucose, drugs including dagliflozin, metformin, acarbose, insulin, etc.; control of blood pressure, such as ACEI/ARB drugs (valsartan, chloretin, captopril, benazepril, etc.), lowering blood lipids (atorvastatin, rasuvastatin, etc.).
Patients with increased urinary microalbumin should go to the hospital in time and be treated under the guidance of a specialized physician. Drugs should be used in accordance with medical advice, do not self-medicate.
