Microalbumin 150 mg indicates that the urine contains a small amount of albumin, and this measures mainly the total amount of urine protein over 24 hours. It is right in the critical range, because less than 150 mg is considered negative and greater than or equal to 150 mg is considered positive. Therefore, this test alone cannot determine that there is nephritis. It is recommended that 24-hour urine protein quantification, kidney function, and urine routine tests are also needed to help clarify the condition. If there is nephritis, it can be treated with prednisone.
