Will IVF babies look like their mothers?

Who does an IVF baby actually look more like after birth? If it is determined by which of the two parents has put in more effort and endured more pain in the process of his birth, then most of the IVF babies will be born to look more like their mothers, I guess. But unfortunately, as we all know, a child’s personality, looks, intelligence and other traits are mainly determined by genes and the environment in which he or she grows up and other influences, and IVF is no exception. In fact, if you know something about the fertilization process of IVF, this problem is solved. Regardless of the generation of IVF, and regardless of whether the process of fertilization has been artificially interfered with or not, all that is necessary for this process is a sperm and an egg, which either spontaneously or passively meet and combine to form a fully fertilized egg. In this process, the sperm and the egg each carry a set of chromosomes from both the father and the mother, and the fertilized egg naturally combines the genetic information of both the father and the mother. In other words, whether the process is done in the mother’s fallopian tube or in a laboratory incubator, the genes of both the father and the mother are indispensable. This is true even in IVF with a sperm donor, where the genes of the mother and the sperm donor together determine the genes of the child. As to exactly which of the parents each of the child’s traits is more like, just as in the case of the nine sons of the dragon, they are all different, and no one can give a definite answer. However, genes are only one of the main factors affecting a child’s growth and development, and acquired environmental factors including education and life background are also important factors in the formation of a child’s character, intellectual development and temperament. From this perspective, if the mother accompanies the child with more education, the child may be more like the mother. Therefore, IVF babies, like ordinary children, definitely have something like their mothers, but exactly how much is unknown.
