There is no requirement for mouth rinsing after tiotropium bromide administration. Common dosage forms of tiotropium bromide include inhalation powder aerosol and spray. The drug insert does not explicitly require mouth rinsing after use of this product. Clinically, it is generally recommended to rinse the mouth after half an hour of use if food is needed. Tiotropium bromide relaxes the smooth muscle of the airways and is used in the maintenance treatment of COPD and dyspnea associated with this product, and is able to reduce acute exacerbations of COPD. Adverse reactions to this product include dry mouth, dizziness, headache, cough, pharyngitis, dysphonia, rash, pruritus, and dysuria. It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to this product, people who are allergic to atropine, acute bronchospasm. It should be used rationally under the guidance of a doctor.
