Precautions after pancreaticoduodenectomy include: 1. maintain a healthy lifestyle: adjust the diet structure and avoid overeating; 2. quit smoking: because smoking can damage blood vessels, pancreas and liver and affect the quality of life; 3. quit drinking: because drinking alcohol can damage the pancreas more and drinking alcohol after surgery can induce acute severe pancreatitis; 4. regular review: tumor recurrence can be monitored and dealt with in a timely manner, and it is recommended to review 2 weeks after surgery. In case of malignant tumor, the frequency of review will be shortened in the first 3 months after surgery, and will be prolonged six months after the condition is stabilized.
