What is HPV virus transmission

The HPV virus, also known as human papillomavirus, can infect not only the skin but also the mucous membranes, resulting in HPV infection of the skin or mucous membranes. HPV can also infect the mucous membranes and cause mucosal lesions, such as type 6, type 8, type 11, etc. The common types of HPV viruses are type 16, type 18, type 33, type 31, etc. They often involve the genital and perianal mucosa and cause oral cancer, cervical cancer, etc. HPV is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, but a few patients can also be infected through contact with the patient’s clothes or secretions, and persistent infection with high-risk HPV virus may lead to cervical cancer.
