Can peek cranium be reimbursed

Cranial repair surgery is a well-established technique in neurosurgery, and clinical successes abound. However, some patients who choose traditional titanium mesh repair may have a high response to heat and cold after surgery, and it is also common to have postoperative rejection or infection, resulting in most patients needing to face secondary repair problems. Peek is the ideal material for cranial bone repair and has been clinically tested to be much better than titanium mesh. The material has good stiffness, stability and thermal insulation, and the chance of postoperative complications is very low. The peek skull repair procedure is now very mature and has excellent clinical results. Most patients with cranial defects have significantly improved their appearance, restored the integrity of the cranial cavity, effectively improved local blood flow problems, and avoided pressure on the brain from external atmospheric pressure. Some patients with dizziness and headache have also improved their symptoms significantly. In conclusion, through clinical practice, there is basically no discomfort after surgery. Many patients are concerned about whether the cost of peek skull repair surgery can be reimbursed. This issue needs to be based on the policy of the patient’s place of enrollment, and then the corresponding percentage of reimbursement. We have upgraded and modified the peek cranial repair surgery, integrating the plastic surgery concept, and developed into peek cranial repair plastic surgery, with beautiful appearance and high comfort after surgery.
