What does intrahepatic ca metastasis mean

Intrahepatic ca metastasis means that liver cancer has undergone intrahepatic metastasis. The metastatic pathways of liver cancer include intrahepatic metastasis, hematogenous metastasis, lymphatic metastasis, implantation metastasis, etc., and the most important metastatic way is intrahepatic metastasis. Hepatocellular carcinoma cells can easily spread in the liver through portal vein system, form cancer embolus, and block the main trunk of portal vein causing portal hypertension. Therefore, if there is a history of liver cancer and signs of portal hypertension, relevant examinations (such as enhanced CT of the upper abdomen) should be performed to clarify whether there is intrahepatic metastasis. When liver cancer has intrahepatic metastasis, treatment includes partial hepatectomy, tumor ablation, radiotherapy and transhepatic artery chemoembolization, etc. The specific treatment plan needs to be decided according to the tumor and patient’s condition. Patients with intrahepatic ca metastasis should consult the doctor in time and take active treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
